The Primagon 4,5 / 35 was the first "real" wide angle lens by Meyer in retro-focus design. As a four-element design, it is not very bright, very sharp, but it has a character. It is remarkable for the early retro-focus designs but typical, however, for these unusually large front lens luminosity.
The lens has aperture priority and a relatively long focusing tube with a shortest possible distance setting of 40 cm. It was in production from 1956 to 1963.
