Carl Zeiss Jena II 28mm f2.8 Macro Japanse version
This lens made by Sigma under name of Carl Zeiss Jena II 28mm f2.8 Macro, surprisingly good lens I believe better than similar East German lenses like Pentacon 29mm f2.8. Easy to catch the right focus, well built quality lens. This lens has eye catch looking I like it very much even if I know this is not a genuine CZJ lens. Before communism was end in East Germany and in CCCP their sold their valuable brand name likes Carl Zeiss Jena and Helios etc to Japanese third party makers. I suppose Carl Zeiss (West German company ) wasn’t happy at all 🙁 This lenses are very rare if missing part of your collection don’t hesitate much.

Poor old Sigma. Even when they make a good un, see above, there is blog after blog that slag this lens off.
I have one thats fitted most of the time to my K100D.
42mm in real money.
Set it to f8, 10feet, programme mode, leave it alone, point and shoot, works every time, well nearly every time.
If you see one buy one. It should not disappoint.
Have one with a 49 mm bayonet in rear end, fits what camera?
It is made for many cameras, it can come with Nikon, Pentax etc mount. Try to seek Google for mount indentification guider or/and join to forum , publish a picture and members able to help.
I have one of these lenses in OM mount and it is ultimately the best wide angle lens in my collection, very very ultra sharp, I would never sell mine because Ive never seen another to replace it as it is that rare.
This lens was not made by Sigma, but by Cosina. Cosina offered the same lens under their own brand name. Sigma did supply some lenses to East German manufacturer Pentacon, such as some of the Prakticar zooms for the Praktica B-series cameras.
